A Walk On The Beach

A Walk On The Beach

Sometimes there is nothing like a walk on the beach. That is just what I did today. For an hour and a half I did not see a car and could hear only the water lapping at the edge of the lake, a few birds singing and yes, a train.

I often forget how wonderfully relaxing a walk on the beach can be. It was warm and beautiful. A robin decided to walk with me and stayed close by for half an hour.
It even turned around when I did and cheerfully hoped along in front of me.

Beaches everywhere are in a constant state of change. High water bringing in new, I wonder what that is, stuff.
Nothing better than a middle of the week walk on the beach.

Very nice indeed, give it a try, I guarantee you will feel better afterward.
And maybe you will see a butterfly

Ice is Breaking Down on Wyoming Lakes

The state has issued a warning to ice fisherman to be careful as much of the states ice is no longer safe for walking or standing on when ice fishing. I have never seen anyone ice fishing on Guernsey Lake but I have seen people playing on the ice. Now is the time to stay off.

Can Spring really be coming this soon? Probably not!

Stuff I Saw On My Walk

Always nice when it warms up enough for the first, of the summer, walk on the beach. And in my case the beach is Sandy Beach in Guernsey State Park.
Great Beach, and Look at that Blue Lake Water
The lake was high when the Bureau of Reclamation was testing the new fix on the dam.  Lots of stuff washes up during high water, most of it worth nothing, stuff that was lost from boats or dropped in the river upstream.
Wonder what caused this?

I like some of the drift wood, used to be a lot of people that scavenged the nice pieces, but any more, the wood mostly becomes part of a cooking fires or washes on downstream.
Might make a nice - something!

Too bad people don't take the time to walk the beach much, it is a great stress relief, and a chance to see stuff!
